Barr-Tech offers top quality compost for Building Healthy Soils. Our products are regularly tested through the U.S. Composting Council’s, Seal of Testing Assurance (STA) program to assure quality for our consumers.
We are proud to offer compost products that consistently meet or exceed industry and regulatory standards.
Our compost is screened to a uniform size for your specific needs. Our products include: BT Plus a premium soil builder for landscape garden and agricultural applications, BT Green made with green-only organic feedstocks (no biosolids), and BT Plus • Turf processed specifically for turf application.

Use as a Soil Conditioner
Barr-Tech’s compost is a smart and effective way to enhance the health and stability of your lawn or garden. It can be used for many of your outdoor projects, including landscape, garden, turf, erosion control and agricultural applications. To apply our compost, simply spread a uniform 1”-2” layer and mix it into the top 4”-6” of topsoil. After applying compost, a simple soil analysis is recommended to determine any additional fertility needs; IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO OVER FERTILIZE AND OVER WATER.

BT Plus improves soil structure for better water infiltration and retention for healthy root development.

Our finely screened BT Plus Turf is ideal for top-dressing new lawns, golf fairways or athletic fields. The mixture is specially sized to ensure the right gradient for tender new grass. The finely screened mixture helps to nourish soil microbiology in new sod and ensure health and stability for years to come.
